It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for pickleball. As a pickleball team in Dallas, Texas, Whatabangers prides ourselves in personal attention and dedication to growing the local pickleball scene. Whether you're brand new to the game or a seasoned player looking to level up, sometimes we all need a little help refining our skills. That’s where we come in. Our Head Coach, Carl Arce—also known as the “Pickleball Smash King”—is serving up game-changing tips right from the Kitchen at DFW Indoor Pickleball.
We’re also connected to a wide network of experienced coaches across various facilities. If you’re looking for the right coach in your area, we’d be happy to connect you and help take your game to the next level. Let’s grow together, one rally at a time.
Social Events
Join us for fun, social pickleball events designed to bring players of all levels together in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
We use a Paddle Up system and partner with pickleball facilities and local businesses to bring you an unforgettable social play experience. Enjoy networking, sampling local beverages, exciting raffles, and challenge games across dedicated courts.
Tournaments
Compete in our exciting pickleball tournaments, offering a challenging and rewarding experience for competitive players.
Our tournaments are listed on PickleballTournaments.com to reach a broader audience beyond just the local scene—we’ve even had players join us from Mexico! We know tournament play is intense, and you've put in the work to level up and test your skills. That's why we aim to bring the energy—Big Dink Energy, to be exact—from our team into every event.
We pride ourselves on running organized, competitive tournaments while still keeping it fun and welcoming. We prioritize clear communication, open dialogue with players, and do our best to uphold the integrity of the DUPR rating system to prevent sandbagging. Whether you're here for the challenge or the community, we bring both to the local pickleball scene.
Community & Charity

We proudly support Breast Cancer Awareness and recently took part in Pickleball for the Cure. We've also given back to the community by providing coats and socks to those in need.
